  11. Version 1.5 (11/89) contains three new programs in addition to
  12. fixes for all the known bugs in Version 1.0. Several of the
  13. existing utility programs have also been enhanced. Some of the
  14. most visible changes are:
  15.     
  16.         - the utilities USERLIST, MSET and REBOOT have been
  17.           added.  See your documentation for details.
  18.           
  19.         - a bug that caused the MESSAGE utility to crash while
  20.           running under graphics programs has been fixed.        
  21.           
  22.         - the MESSAGE utility has been enhanced to allow the
  23.           display of longer messages, and to display the 
  24.           time at which the message was sent.
  25.  
  26.         - the utilities (specifically FASTNET and LOGIN) no 
  27.           longer rely on undocumented features of COMMAND.COM.
  28.           They will now work with all compatible command 
  29.           shell processors, including J.P. Software's 4DOS.
  30.            
  31.         - LOGIN has been relinked to give you up to 64K more
  32.           available memory during login script execution.  
  33.           
  34. In Version 1.51 (12/89) we've fixed two remaining problems with the
  35. MESSAGE utility. 
  36.  
  37.         - In version 1.5 (MESSAGE version 1.6), MESSAGE could
  38.       occasionally cause a lockup if a message came in at just
  39.           the wrong point in a disk intensive operation.  The new
  40.       version checks much more carefully to be sure that it's
  41.           safe to pop up.
  42.  
  43.         - The older version of MESSAGE had the annoying property
  44.     of sometimes preventing stations from accessing a server
  45.     while a message was popped up on the server's screen. The
  46.     improved "pop up safety checking" also eliminates this
  47.     problem.

  49. Version 1.52 (4/90) adds improved DOS 4.xx compatibility.  
  50.  
  51. In Version 2.00 (6/90) new programs were added: FU, SU, INTERCOM,
  52. DELAY, and LUSETUP. MESSAGE's pop-up mechanism was reworked for
  53. greater reliability.
  54.  
  55. Version 2.00a (10/90) contains a fix for a bug that kept LOGIN from working
  56. correctly when no password is given under LANtastic NOS 3.0.

  58. Known bugs in this version:

  60. MSET does not seem to set the master copy of the environment when
  61. running under DOS 4.01 if the environment size has been changed with
  62. the /E parameter in CONFIG.SYS.

  64. Version 2.01 (3/91) is not shareware -- it can be freely used and
  65. distributed. Source code is also available: see the file LANUTILS.DOC for information.

  67. Version 2.02 (7/92) at a user's request, LOGIN was updated to work with
  68. the automatic relogin feature of LANtastic 4.10.  WHOAMI was updated to return
  69. the correct machine name.  FASTNET was updated to allow NET USE COMx to work.
